We are delighted to announce the winner of the FBTIS 2025 Awards, presented and sponsored by the French Society for Microbiology (SFM).

This award recognizes the outstanding contributions of young researchers and PhD students under the age of 35 years old.

After careful consideration of the oral and poster communications presented at the symposium, the FBTIS scientific committee is proud to honour:

 

The Winners for best oral presentation awards:

1 - Paulin DETTMANN (RKI, Germany) for the best talk presentation for her work on “Design and validation of a rapid and sensitive multiplex suspension Immunoassay for detection, differentiation and quantification of Staphylococcal Enterotoxins (SEA to SEI)”.

2 - Cyril FRANJUS (ANSES and INRAe, France) for the second best talk presentation for his work on “S. aureus: Are there too many Staphylococcal Enterotoxins described?”

 

 

The two co-winners for best Poster presentation awards:

  • Bram JACOBS (UGhent, Sciensano and UCLouvain, Belgium) for his work on “Fourier-Transform Infrared spectroscopy to investigate an outbreak of cereulide-producing Bacillus Cereus sensu lato”
  • Danai ETTER (LMU, Germany) for her work on “High Glucose and nitrite modulate virulence and stress response of Staphylococcus aureus

 

 

Their research not only demonstrates remarkable quality but also contributes significantly to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
